This Lumia 930 seems to be running Windows Phone that comes with support for split-screen or multi-window multitasking functionality. Plenty of screenshots, but here’s the mystery — these images don’t confirm whether this is actually Windows 10 for Phones.
The icons in the status bar up top gives it away.
Take a look:
Another feature that these images reveal is the option to bring up the Notification Center from the bottom of the screen instead of the top.
But while this might be very convenient for phablets and devices with larger displays, the version of Windows Phone that this Lumia is running still remains a secret. It could well be a more advanced version of Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2.
Then again, rumors have hinted that Windows 10 for Phones will come with split-screen functionality embedded into the operating system, at least on handsets with larger than 5-inch displays.
Plus there’s also the issue of RAM requirements, devices with 2GB of memory will be much more suitable to this type of multitasking on Windows Phone.
And finally, since these images come from an unknown source, it is hard to classify them as authentic.
Nevertheless, if this is our first look at multitasking on Windows 10 for Phones, and how this feature is implemented in the upcoming mobile OS, then it looks pretty neat.
